New Toy – Olympus E-3

Almost after 4 years of the legendary camera Olympus E-1, its successor is finally announced today – E-3. Being a fan of Olympus, it’s certainly my next target (if I can afford one …). However, this I-need-to-buy-a-new-camera thingy is really no good … as I am a believer that most of time you don’t need to upgrade the camera, but your skill – as your camera does not matter in the whole good photo-taking process.

  1. Thanks, the Olympus die-hard follower. I will decide to have the entry level DSLR from Olympus, after my Casio credit-size DC turn to retire…actually I am definitely an idiot in photo shooting…

  3. my cousin is a newbies in photo shooting and just join Olypmus troop – not sure that is E-410 or E-510….Live View is great, ease to use (for me) and color is soft and natural.

    btw, the road to join this troop is far for me.

    PS. your blog and photo gallery had been introduced to him. steps closer to get the cheque from Google.

    Btw, really real photos in Robert’s gallery? oh, what a wonderful craftsman.

    About the cheque from Google and Amazon…well, that’s the fault both from so-called bloggers and local so-called IT magazines…and maybe, that’s the difference business strategy among G and A.

  6. Well, as mentioned many times, it really doesn’t matter what model of camera one is using. A good picture is really about the photographer behind the camera.

    I think both acquisitions are small money to Oracle and M$. But in the first case, we will have less competition. For the second case, it’s purely an investment decision … try to get hold of something that they still don’t know how much it will worth eventually …
