Within walking distance (well, well, 30 minutes to an hour), one can visit the 3 palaces in the Seoul city. And the first one I visited was Gyeongbokgung Palace. It’s so well maintainted that you have to think hard why we cannot do the same to our city’s historical buildings.

Seoul Searching – Myeong-Dong
Since the hotel was closed to the Myeong-Dong shopping district, so obviously the first “activity” in the first day in Seoul was walk around that area. Oh, so many people, so lively, so many colors … so surreal.
Seoul Searching – The Planning …
The more I “travel”, the more I feel that it is just like a project. In other words, I spent hell lot of time to read dozens of travel magazines, guides and web sites. Then make out a plan of the trip, from where to eat the breakfast, to where to go in the morning, then the lunch, then the afternoon itinerary etc. etc. The actual holiday turns out is just an “execution” of the plan, but not “traveling” or “relaxing” at all.
So the Seoul trip starts with “only” 8 travel guides …

By the time I step into the airplane, I actually already understand some bits of Seoul’s history, and my mind is spinning with where to get the hotel bus, and where shall I go right after check-in my room.
In a word … sick.
Ontario – Niagara Fall
Clearly it is one of the most visted places in Canada (the view is good only from the Canada side …) and the first thing come to the visitors’ mind after seeing the fall should be “how insignificant am I ?”
My last visit there was with an one very good old friend. He is simply one of the few brightest guys I ever met … but since he decided to work in Canada, we have one less great CTO in town.

Many overseas students just spend all their time in library, Dorm, classes or at most the canteen, cinemas and shopping malls. But actually, one of the places that really worth spending time on, is the Algonquin Country Park in Ontario. Visit it in Autumn and you know why …
