Cloud appreciation society

Other than a good book by the pool, a cold drink under the sun … the next best thing to relax in a holiday resort is, really, cloud watching. You know, you can name every cloud you like, while the clouds drifting slowly … Obviously, there are lots of people sharing the same view, and they are the members of Cloud Appreciation Society. Following is the famous Six Leg Pig … click the pix to see the full picture and you can buy their book.

Zoom your pics

We all now have cameras with over 10 million pixels, but when you posted the resized version to the web you will lost all the details of the picture. One possible solution is to zoomify it, such that you can see all the details (pretty much like Google Map).

Following is the grand hall ceiling of the Venetian Hotel Macao. Give it a try.

A village far far away …

It took me two hours to travel to this “village” and I expected a journey of peacefulness. Turned out that village was packed with thousands of tourists and everywhere is coffee shops, convenient stores, bistros and souvenir shops … As usual, I could only find the serenity through the lens of my camera.

Flower show, from another angle

According to the Flower show website, “… the event will showcase this exquisite plant and a rich profusion of exquisite potted plants, beautiful floral arrangements and gorgeous landscape displays by organizations …”. But seriously, the event is the same as last year, and the same as year before last year, and the same as … except those artificial “landscape displays” are changed.

Anyway, some photos from this year’s show, but from some different angles.
