Dopod C730

I waited for the Samsung SGH-i600 / BlackJack for over 6 months and I don’t think I can wait any longer. First, Dopod introduced the C730 (i.e. the HTC Cavalier) in town with a very attractive price and secondly, unlike the BlackJack, the C730 is pre-installed with the latest WM6.  So … how’s it ?

Here is the picture of the C730 with my previous phone Nokia N80. The theme I installed with the C730 is the Razor-TXW from Cuago Designworks.

C730 and N80

Check out how thin it is …

But one point to note though … the manual and the software come with the device / CD are all in Chinese (?!)

  1. I got a Dpod c730 recently and I cant say I am impressed with the Contact, calendar and clock facilities. Can you advice what and where I can download reasonable softwares for these 3 applications?

  2. I think you can improve the calendar and clock by simply install a new theme. However, if you want sophisticated contact and calendar / tasks management, you need special software where you can find in sites like handango.com.

    Hope it helps.

    1. Hi Vernon,

Not sure I can help as the C730 is not with me right now. Could you just take a few photos of the screen, then mail it to me ? (See About page for my email address) I will try to translate the screen / messages and see whether that can help.
